This is a community dedicated to first thoughts writing or free writing. This is a style of writing akin to brain storming. It includes putting your pen to the paper (or fingers to the keyboard) and not stopping for a specified amount of time regardless of how illogical the word thread seems to flow.
the rules for writing
1. keep your hand moving (don't stop to reread, think of the next line, fix a misspelled word, edit or correct a grammatical error. all of these things defeat the purpose of the free write which is a stream of concious exercise.) 2. don't cross anything out (this is editing, leave what you write as you wrote it. even if you've written a word you didn't intend on writing, there was a reason your hand didn't listen to your mind. explore it.) 3. lose control 4. don't think, don't allow logic to confuse the stream 5. go for the jugular (if something comes up that you're not sure about, that you're scared may be too honest, or too personal go with it. part of the fun of free write is selfexamination through the stream on conciousness)
